Prayer Request

While we're on the subject of prayer requests (see Beverly's blog for hers), I'd like to ask you to say a prayer for tonight's 6th grade girls dinner for their parents. We've spent the last 6 weeks preparing for it every Sunday afternoon from 2-5 pm plus one Wednesday night and two Friday nights. A lot of time and effort has gone into this endeavor. The girls have worked hard and played hard and learned a lot of lessons along the way. So have we. So, this afternoon at around 4 we gather to decorate and cook the food that was prepared last night by 18 sets of loving hands. (Lots of washing of hands goes on thanks to the really cool sink they put in the church kitchen - good thinking!) I missed most of the cooking part due to a dinner for my husband's office, dang it. It was looking mighty fun when I left there! Anyway, what we need is for God to step in and make this all work one more time. He always does but it can't hurt to ask. I know the girls are nervous about many things - things beyond their control. Let's just say sometimes we need to get over ourselves and do some things just because we love our kids. I pray a whole bunch of adults can do that tonight. Thanks.
