Instruction to new parents: DO NOT BLINK!
It all goes so fast... what a great looking son you have, Candy!
btw, what year is 'high school freshman'? How many years of school after that? (I'm guessing he's about 15?)
Here in Oz the schooling is 13 years, labelled Kindy, Years 1-12.

gracie - he's 14 and in the 8th grade right now. Freshman year is 9th grade and they go through 12th. Thank you, he is pretty cute and a great personality too!

you know, until I moved to Tulsa, I had never really experienced watching a child grow up over a length of time. I moved around a lot with my family growing up, so all I saw was my brother and I grow up together and every so often, my cousins. being in Tulsa for almost eight years now, I've had the joy of watching my friends' children grow and it catches my breath to think how fast they grow! this is one thing I have definitely heard over and over from those mommies in my life, basically - cherish the moments (all of them) you have with your children because it goes by so very fast. getting ready to embark on this with my own child is an overwhelmingly incredible thought to me! thanks for sharing your pictures. they are precious!

Well, he's no bulldog, but... ;-)

I don't know what's cooler - a kid who looks as happy as he does, or a mom who is as proud as you are. Pretty awesome either way!

This hits too close to home! My little leaguer hit a few home runs last week and will soon move on to 3rd grade. I think that's as old as he should ever get! :-)

Oh dear lord - send the poor boy to the priesthood - whatever it takes to keep him from Discom!!!
