Cancelling Tuesday (hit this link and scroll up)
Thanks to billy over at Wild Grace I have decided to cancel Tuesday, although there will be no boats or grey clouds or cold winds. That's not all there won't be. Geoff and Max are out of town until 10:00 Tuesday night. Tonight from 7-9 I am soaking at my friend Amy's house and that will be the beginning of my Tuesday. For 24 hours I am out of commission. I'm calling it a fast of sorts. I'm fasting the computer for sure - and the tv (which won't be nearly as difficult) and the phone and life in general. No newspaper. No email. No mail. No laundry. No cleaning. I am giving myself permission to step out of life for one day. Nothing but the King and I. I've got some reading to do. I've got some writing to do. I've got some reflecting to do. I've got some dreaming to do. I've got some re-imagining to do. And all those I's tell me I've got some writhing to do. That's what really needs to be taken care of. Say a prayer of revelation for me if you think of it. Hopefully I'll have something to say by Wednesday. or not.

okay..i am stupid..I didn't come over today cause I read your blog and i was mixed up that today was tuesday and didn't want to disturb you..rats..

Happy told me to go to hang out with you yesterday and I thought you were doing your tues thing..or your not-tuesday thing..and I was like I can't because she's like meditating or something..anyway.then ding, ding, ding, I realized it was Monday...have a good one..
Sounds GLORIOUS -- and I'm sure it was. I would have to have someone padlock my office for me to stay off the computer for a full day while I was at home! I admire your discipline. You encourage and inspire me!
