AT LAST!!

At Last! Our ladies retreat is finally upon us! Today's the day! I am so excited!! At 2:00 this afternoon the prayer team will converge upon Camp Butman to pray and anoint the camp and invite the Holy Spirit of the Living God to join us there and shadow us in His Presence. Could anything be more exciting?? I can't think of a single thing! This retreat has been covered in prayer and watching it take form has been fascinating in itself. So many things have happened that have shown us that God is here. He cares about every woman who will be attending. He has invited her personally. He has set the schedule. He has assigned the rooms and roommates. He has written the talks. He has written the songs and I fully anticipate He will be singing them over us. He has already anointed this endeavor. One woman on the team told me that she has worked on organizing alot of retreats and things of this sort and has always been able to see the hand of God in it after it's over. But never had she felt so strongly the presence of God and had the knowledge of His power so intensely before an event took place. I stand in awe. I tremble at the thought of what He is doing. I know one thing. The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on this retreat, because the LORD has anointed this team to preach good news to the poor. He has sent us to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Instead of their shame His people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs. Come Holy Spirit.
