Another Promise
This rainbow (if you look closely it was a double one!) was God's second gift to us as we set up for the Ladies Retreat in Concord, W. VA a week and a half ago. The first was the gift of His Presence as we arrived. There were 3 of us in the car and we had a WOW Worship cd on as we drove in to the retreat center. I have no idea what songs were playing now, but we parked and sat in the car for the next 30 minutes just drinking Him in. The Holy Spirit fell upon the car and we couldn't have gotten out if we'd wanted to - which we did not. Then it started to drizzle so we decided to get our stuff out. Once we got inside we began to set up the room for the meetings and that's when I looked out the window. There it was, just over the pool. My promise. I love the way God takes care of me. He knows me so very well. Just like He knows you. As soon as I saw the rainbows I knew I was right where He wanted me to be and that I was certainly not there alone. You'd think I would have gotten that from the car experience, but no, I needed more. And my precious Father was so willing to do more. In fact, I'm not sure you can see it, but that rainbow came down right in front of the stand of trees in the distance and touched our land, the promised land He had given us for the next 24 hours. I'm not talking just a rainbow, or just a double rainbow - but He gave us our very own personal rainbows. Could He possibly love us any more? Oh yes. And He proved it over and over again throughout the next 24 hours. I stand in awe. In fact I would say I am trembling.
