The Mall

I had the most amazing thought after reading Val's blog here. About those 4 hours in the mall...what if those 6 young ladies (and myself) were encouraged to be Jesus and search out opportunities to serve others right there in the mall. It doesn't have to be about holding a gospel meeting in front of Dillards, although it could! It does have to be about love and kindness and joy and gentleness and peace and patience and goodness and self control. What if they were each actively looking for ways to serve others; whether it be helping with a door, helping with a small child, really smiling at a clerk and telling them how nice they look today, or even letting their imaginations go and letting God lead them. I know one thing, if you had a group of teenagers acting this way in a mall, I guarantee you they would stand out. I think we'll try it. Now I'm excited about the 4 hours at the mall!! It really is that simple, isn't it?

What a great idea and the mall is the perfect setting in response to Val’s blog. Have you ever met Jose Muniz. He has a mall ministry were he talks to kids about their life and Jesus. He has a great testimony. You may have seen him up at the mall or running through town. He is Hispanic with long black curly hair and wears black sunglasses even in doors. I admire his love for God.

I do know who Jose is, Clint. He is amazing. And yes, the mall is a great setting for this! I hadn't thought about it that way yet. Thanks for your prayers.

uh oh candy...could the mall end up being an amazing experience...we could have like a pay it forward time and everyone could share their experiences when we get back to the hotel and have our jammies on..I think you are on to something..or maybe He is..
