This morning at 9:30 CST my friend, Clint, who sometimes leaves profound comments here, is going into surgery. A little over two years ago Clint was in an accident on his motorcycle. Since that time he has suffered with chronic pain. I cannot tell you what this man means to me. He is like a brother to me. I love him so. He would never tell you he's hurting and the smile on his face would belie this fact, but sometimes you can see it in his eyes. The surgery this morning is to insert into his spine some electrodes that will alleviate this pain for him. Please pray today with me that the surgeons will have supernatural knowledge of where to place these electrodes, that God would guide their hands, that the pain Clint lives in will no longer exist. I read this verse today and it seemed perfect. I'm claiming the promises here over Clint today.
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." 1 Cor. 10:13
Clint may still be in a wheelchair but I pray, please God, that this surgery today will be "the way of escape" for Clint that he will be able to bear it. By the way, in no way do I think this is the end of Clint's, for lack of a better word, saga - I still believe Clint will walk again, if it's in God's plan for his life. "For nothing is impossible for God." Luke 1:37 Thank you for your prayers.

Hi Candy. I found your blog by following commenter links on Mike Cope's blog, and have been reading on and off for a little while. I wanted to thank you for posting about Clint. We are friends from days gone by and do not communicate much, but I am glad to have the opportunity to pray for him as he goes through this surgery and recovery.
Yes, prayers for one who our family absoulutely loves!! Thanks Candy..
