Merry Christmas!
Max just finished his letter to Santa and put out the cookies. Never ever stop believing. This year his letter touched my heart. Let me just say I couldn't be prouder of him. I'm still pondering it. Maybe I'll share later, but for now I was just thinking of my favorite part of the Christmas story. Here it is from the Message:
"An Event for Everyone
There were sheepherders camping in the neighborhood. They had set night watches over their sheep. Suddenly, God's angel stood among them and God's glory blazed around them. They were terrified. The angel said, "Don't be afraid. I'm here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for everybody, worldwide: A Savior has just been born in David's town, a Savior who is Messiah and Master. This is what you're to look for: a baby wrapped in a blanket and lying in a manger."
At once the angel was joined by a huge angelic choir singing God's praises:
Glory to God in the heavenly heights,
Peace to all men and women on earth who please him.
As the angel choir withdrew into heaven, the sheepherders talked it over. "Let's get over to Bethlehem as fast as we can and see for ourselves what God has revealed to us." They left, running, and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. Seeing was believing. They told everyone they met what the angels had said about this child. All who heard the sheepherders were impressed.
Mary kept all these things to herself, holding them dear, deep within herself. The sheepherders returned and let loose, glorifying and praising God for everything they had heard and seen. It turned out exactly the way they'd been told!"
This Christmas I'd like to let loose, glorifying and praising God for everything I've heard and seen Him do this last year. It has been a year of Wonder for me and it's not even over yet. Look for Him. He's all around you.
Merry Christmas!

Candy, Gilberts, Shilcutts, ...Everyone who came, called, sent flowers, emails, text messages, facebook messages, brought food, were here, thank you for your love. the list goes on…. We as a family cannot come close to expressing how thankful we are for the love poured out on us. Thank you all for your shoulders.
One week ago, Tyler made a CD. Tonight, we sat down to watch the slideshow that friends prepared for Tyler’s funeral. We thought the slideshow was a DVD with music, but it was a powerpoint. So Landon started Tyler’s Slideshow on his computer, we used his (Tyler's) CD as the soundtrack. This is Tyler’s favorite song that he had put on a cd and told all of us within the past 7 days. When we listened to this song tonight, as we were seeing his pictures and remembering him and deeply missing him, we heard his voice through the words of the song as our tears came down. These are his words to us and it's pretty amazing.
I hate to see you cry
Lying there in that position
There’s things you need to hear
So turn off your tears
And listen
Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No it won’t all go the way it should
But I know the heart of life is good
You know, it’s nothing new
Bad news never had good timing
But, then your circle of friends
Will defend the silver lining
Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
No it won’t all go the way it should
But I know the heart of life is good
Pain throws your heart to the ground
Love turns the whole thing around
Fear is a friend who’s misunderstood
But I know the heart of life is good
I know it’s good
