It's Never Too Late?

Last fall I purchased 3 bags of bulbs. I had every intention of planting them but I just never got around to it. Now I'm seeing daffodils and tulips blooming all over town and I'm regretting it.

But then I woke up sometime in the middle of the night with the thought ringing in my head, "plant those bulbs". I thought that was kinda crazy. I mean, don't they have to be in the ground through the winter? Anyway, it just kept coming to me so this morning I did it. I planted them. As I planted them I thought, "This is crazy. It's too late to be doing this. Nothing will come of it." But I know in my knower that it was all about obedience. It had nothing to do with the end result - flowers or no flowers. It's about having a thought and following through with it. If we can't be trusted with the little things, why should we be trusted with the big stuff? So I'm practicing listening and obeying today. And I may learn another really cool lesson, too. The fact that it's never too late to do something you know you ought to or need to do. You can bet I'll be watching the dirt to see what happens. I'll keep you posted.
