A Call to Die

On Monday I began working through a book entitled, "A Call to Die" with a friend of mine. The subtitle is "40 days of fasting from the world and feasting on God". It was her idea. I cannot tell you at this point on day three how thankful I am that she had this desire, that God placed me on her heart to do it with her and that she followed through and kept at me until I was on board.

I believe God is going to use this book to change my life. Already He is hard at it. Already I am in awe. I am absolutely sure there is some connection between this study and my word, Wisdom. In some ways He is showing me how He has already "wised me up". There will be more on that to come.

I feel like I am supposed to share this journey through this blog. Someone out there needs to hear something God has to say through me in this place. So I will try to do that. I will try to let God lead me in these posts. For now, know that you are loved. God, our Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, desperately wants each of us to know that. I only wish I could convey in words on this screen how intense His love is for you. I tremble as I try. We just don't have those kind of words in our English language. They are words from heaven. He's singing them over you even now. They are in the wind. They are in the songs of the birds. They are in the light of the sunrise. They surround you, envelop you, infiltrate you when you stop long enough to listen. Be still and know...

Yeah, amen sister!
I'm looking forward to looking over your shoulder as you gaze upon the Lord of the wind, the rain, and the song.
