Life has been pretty busy around our place since just before Thanksgiving. Here's a quick photo tour.
First stop: Laguna Niguel the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was so beautiful there. We both loved it.I love the sun, mostly when it's rising and setting. I also love small worlds we don't normally see up close. I found this one in the rocks at low tide. I could have spent all day sitting there watching what goes on.
Then we hosted Thanksgiving, which is always a treat. This year was even more special because of these guests.
We made new friends from China, Trinidad and Jamaica! The coolest thing was Max said later that this was the best Thanksgiving yet. He said it felt more like the first Thanksgiving must have felt. I love that boy.
Then there was Christmas at Disney World where we also celebrated Max's 16th birthday!
I'm kicking myself because I didn't get a really good picture of the three of us which is very disappointing.
I did however capture this Mickey moment:
All in all it was an an incredible 6 days. This picture pretty much sums it up:
Then Geoff and I went to Jamaica! Now that was fun. My favorite thing about Jamaica is definitely the people. They were very warm and welcoming. I also love the music - at least in that setting. And the jerk chicken and fish is so incredibly good, not to mention the Red Stripe. While we were there we got a little adventurous and did the canopy tour where you ride the zip lines from treetop to treetop through the rain forest. For Geoff this was twice as amazing since he has an aversion to heights. Really. I did it. I have the t-shirt to prove it - along with these photos.
At one point we zipped over this river canyon a little farther up the river. I wanted to stop midway and hover awhile to take it all in, but that was not an option. It was so beautiful.
We also did a lot of this:
while looking out at this:
We even spotted a rainbow out at sea:
Yes, Life is good!

Is that snow in Abilene? What a treat!
I was in Lubbock for Thanksgiving and we had a beautiful snow as well.

This 'hanging out' in warm places sounds enticing! Glad you had this amazing time away together.
