A Forgiveness Report

I just got home from teaching the classes mentioned in the last post. Approximately 200 girls heard my story. I hope I was able to encourage them to become who they were born to be and not waste a bazillion years trying to be someone they're not, like I did. It was powerful and God showed up in amazing ways. I've never had so many girls come up to me and thank me for telling the truth. One girl told me she is so tired of people telling stories to get their point across and that it meant a lot to her to hear someone tell their own story. She thinks it is time that happened more. I couldn't agree any more if I'd said it myself. God has given each of us a story within His story. Imagine if we tore down all the walls we've put up and got real with each other. I can tell you one thing, this generation coming up craves truth and they're going to need it more than we ever did - and we really needed it. They need a greater faith than we needed. They face a lot more stuff the world is throwing at them than we ever faced. I love these kids so much. I am passionate about reaching them. They deserve to know they are loved and that they are beautiful. It really doesn't take that much to tell them. Maybe if they hear it enough they'll begin to believe it. I'm exhausted now, but in a really good way. God is good. No, I take that back. He's magnificent.

Amen, amen, and AMEN!!! :) That is also why I am so passionate in reaching out to them. I missed being a part of this weekend-I miss doing ministry and the joy of working with teenagers...

I am so glad you were able to share with them. and that you are allowing your life to be a true living testimony to the grace and love of our God-I know you will continue to touch many more b/c you are an active tool in His kingdom!! :)

I love you, friend!!

Candy, Jeremiah's sister Juliana (age 14) was one of the girls who heard your story this weekend. I haven't talked to her, but I know she was at the conference. I can't wait to hear what she thought about it. Thanks for being willing to be real and love on these girls. They need women like you. I love you and miss you!

This is great that you are talking about forgiveness, something we all want, but do not always give in return.
