Boy Warrior

Beverly inspired me to post this picture of Max. On Tuesday he starts high school. Holy Cow! Where did the time go? Seems like just yesterday he was wailing his way through preschool. Now he is a confident young man (possibly a little too full of himself) who is eager and strong and full of life. I'll be praying him through the next four years. My prayer is that he would guard his heart and know who he is in Christ. Some of you may be wondering what in the world that means. It means that he would know that no matter what anyone here on earth thinks, he is pardoned, he is perfected, he is at peace, he is consumed with power, and he has a purpose. But most of all he is loved and accepted and nothing is impossible for him because he belongs to God. If he will know this in his heart, he will be a powerful warrior. And he longs to go to war. I'm just not sure he knows what war he's being called to yet. I believe I do. I see him dressed in the full armor of God. Head to toe. If you think of it, will you pray for him, too?

girl, how precious! I'm kinda glad to be at the beginning and have so many people to remind me how very precious the time is with our little ones! wow! high school! if there is any time I would do over again, it would be high school. Not to really change it, but to enjoy it more. I have a fierce passion for high schoolers and will definitely lift up your son during these years to come.

Is this "post a pic of your kids week?" OK, I'll participate as best I can.

You and Bev have some good-looking boys. High school days can be fun, but worrisome for moms. Prayers, prayers, prayers
