Simply an Observation

Grey

Sometimes it seems
there is an excess of darkness
and not nearly enough light.

How can I be bathed in the light
and the person right next to me
feels lost in the darkness?

Can words convey light?
Can touch spread light?
Can love be all they need?

Does it seem that all the things
we've been told may not be
necessarily true?

Lately I see many who claim
to know the light
mired down in darkness.

It makes me want to scream
blood curdling screams
from the depths of my being.

But that seems totally lame.
So I close my mouth and pray -
silently with my whole heart.

I pray for light and hope and peace
to infiltrate their being...
so they can scream.

Thanks, friend-I appreciate the encouragement!! :) I almost did not comment, and then felt that verse laid upon my heart.

You are gifted at so many things-it never ceases to amaze me! This is a great post-thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

I wish I could have seen you during lectureship-there were so many people to get to and not enough time!! Next time...

Please keep praying-this job search is pretty frustrating...

Love you mucho!! :)
